Yes that's right folks just when you thought we'd let you go back to socialising at a watering hole without any library talk New Grads W.A. pulls you back in.

What what what? NewGrads in the Pub April edition!

Where: FIRE and ICE 50 Subiaco Station Square, Subiaco
When: 17:30, Thursday 28th April (Yes that is Tommorow)
How much: Naught but your own drinks and nibbles
RSVP: None needed!
NewGrads W.A. are secure enough in our own lovability to risk sitting at the bar alone but we'd prefer not to.

Resume Reviews - QLD New Grads PD Event

Looking to land your first library job? Preparing yourself for your next career move or a promotion? Need some advice on how to communicate your skills to employers? Yes?

We all want to place our best foot forward when presenting ourselves to prospective employers. That’s why our resume is such an important document, and one that deserves a lot of care and attention throughout our career. A well presented resume may give you that edge, a fighting chance, place you above the rest when it comes to applying for that next career move you’ve been eyeing off!


Where: State Library Cafe, Southbank, Brisbane

When: Saturday, 14th May, from 10am


Here’s what you do: -

  1. Submit your RSVP and Resume to me via email (acrystelle@gmail.com) by Saturday, 7th May.
  2. Receive your appointment time.
  3. Meet with your reviewer at your appointed time and receive valuable feedback and advice!
  4. Apply feedback and have more confidence in your resume.

Appointments will run for approximately 15-20 minutes each.

To Lynette Loone - Goodbye and thank you!

Lynette Loone has officially resigned as Regional Co-ordinator of the ALIA NGG Northern Territory. Thank you so much Lynette for all your hard work! I have heard that the NT New Grads have joined the ALIA Top End group, but if anyone would like to re-start the New Grads group in the NT, let Mel Chivers (Convener) or Romany Manuell (Secretary) know, and we'll support you from down here in the south!

May teleconference for committee members!
